Frequently Asked Questions (and their answers)
Q: Are children allowed to play bingo?
A: Children who are in the immediate vicinity of their parent may play bingo. For precautionary reasons, bingo cards, games, and prizes will be handed directly to the parent (not the child). Any child seen playing bingo without parental supervision will be asked to leave.
Q: What if I need to go to the restroom? Can my child stay in the room and play bingo?
A: No. If you need to step away for any reason, your child will need to flip his or her bingo card over and refrain from playing until you return. We are planning extra breaks to provide time for socializing or to use the restrooms. Drink service will be provided at the tables to minimize the need to get up during a game.
Q: What is the blacklight setup?
A: Once it becomes dark (about 7:30 pm) we will have some opportunities to turn the room into a blacklight party. During the blacklight party, we can play a blacklight bingo game and let the kids dance while parents take a bingo intermission. The final game of the night will be a blacklight blackout bingo game.
Q: Are there other activities for the children?
A: Children aged 2-10 can take advantage of a child care option in the downstairs hall. This will be conducted by the Junior Catholic Daughters of America and will include a movie, activities, and snacks for the children. Parents will need to check-in and check-out the children in person (children will not be allowed to free roam the premises during this event).
